# registry stats

Check a local registry.json and show its statistics

Canonical URL: https://docs.paradoc.dev/cli/commands/registry/stats/

Check a local `registry.json` against the manifest schema and show its statistics.

## Usage

```bash
paradoc registry stats [options]
```

The command takes no arguments. It reads a local file only; for a remote registry, use [registry info](/cli/commands/registry/info).

## Options

| Option                  | Description                                                   |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `-r, --registry <path>` | Path to a compiled registry.json (default: `./registry.json`) |
| `--json`                | Output as JSON                                                |

## Description

Reads a compiled `registry.json`, the file [`registry compile`](/cli/commands/registry/compile) writes. A file that is not a valid manifest fails, and the command lists each issue with its path. For a valid one, it shows the number of artifacts, editions and releases, the artifact counts by kind, and the telemetry and directory settings. A release is one version of one edition, or one version of an artifact that has no editions.

## Output

```
acme-forms
Total artifacts: 3
Total editions: 2
Total releases: 5
By kind:
  form: 3
Telemetry: enabled
Directory listing: enabled
```

## JSON output

```json
{
  "name": "acme-forms",
  "totalArtifacts": 3,
  "totalEditions": 2,
  "totalReleases": 5,
  "byKind": {
    "form": 3
  },
  "telemetryEnabled": true,
  "directoryEnabled": true
}
```
