# React skill

The agent skill for composing, checking, previewing, rendering, and sealing React documents with @paradoc/react

Canonical URL: https://docs.paradoc.dev/ai/skills/paradoc-react/

The `paradoc-react` skill teaches an AI coding assistant to write a document in React with `@paradoc/react`, check it, preview it, and render and seal it as PDF with `@paradoc/react-pdf`. A composition is a React component bound to a Paradoc form artifact through that artifact's React layer. The same tree is what a browser shows on screen and what the PDF engine renders.

The skill covers the composition. For authoring the artifact itself (fields, parties, defs, logic), install the [`paradoc` skill](/ai/skills) too.

## When it activates

The assistant loads the skill when it:

* writes or edits a `.tsx`/`.jsx` composition bound to a Paradoc form artifact, or declares a React layer
* renders, previews, or seals a React document (`renderPdf`, `reactLayerRenderers`, `paradoc dev`)
* installs document components or blocks from the `@paradoc` registry (`paradoc add`)
* runs `paradoc check` against a composition

## The lifecycle it follows

1. **Install** the components and blocks with `paradoc add`.
2. **Compose** the document as the module's default export, with every value taken from the artifact.
3. **Check** it with [`paradoc check`](/cli/commands/check) until it exits 0.
4. **Preview** it with `paradoc dev`, or with `<Pages>` in your app.
5. **Render** it to PDF with `renderPdf`.
6. **Seal** the filled form with the React layer renderers.
